Juelz's second album, DRAMATICA , solidifies his status as one of trap music’s brightest stars.

This just in: trap is SO back. Long underrated within the bass scene, Juelz is back with a gargantuan release that's bound to have everyone talking. Throughout the years, he has refined his sound, carving out his own lane within the trap genre. With numerous releases on RL Grime's Sable Valley, as well as collaborations with San Holo and NGHTMRE, the talent has been steadily growing his presence with each dynamic release.

The latest standout album comes from none other than the Vancouver-based trap producer. A follow-up to his explosive 2023 debut album, DRAMATICA is a certifiable no-skip body of work. With 16 fresh tracks, the album could be just what Juelz needs to catapult his career to the next level.

As nostalgia for 2016 continues to surge, Juelz fed into that yearning for the 2010s with numerous tracks reminiscent of what many will call the glory days of EDM. " GO baby " with Nef the Pharoah is an irrefutable party starter that embodies the trap sound of the 2010s. On " DON'T SAY A WORD ," Juelz weaves in the once-popular vocal sample stab of "run the track" before blasting into an absurd drop that hits like a heavy blow.

The album's lead single, " wakeup(crazy) " with Angst , was released in April. As the first taste of what would come on DRAMATICA , the tune gave listeners a glimpse into the producer's sonic range. The vocal-forward track matches well with " MY MY MY " with songstress Z3LLA and " Lucky " with TITUS . Both feature a vibrant, uplifting soundscape. " Motion Detected " also builds upon that energy, pushing things into hyperdrive for a power-packed festival banger that is likely to become a live staple.

Unlike many albums in recent years, DRAMATICA 's singles didn't carry the weight. " SHINIGAMI FLOW " is an absolute weapon of a track. Translating to "death god," the shadowy, intense tune takes Juelz's OG sound and builds upon it for a high-voltage, festival-ready production. With a sample from Benny Benassi's "Satisfaction," this was a clear favorite from the album.

Another standout, " Spiralling ," feels like a nod to early Skrillex as it builds from light and playful into a heavy dubstep drop with vocal samples. This was a common theme across many of the heavier tracks, although Juelz's classic "bby Juelz" tagline was missing from the album.
